Description

Create festive Brownie Christmas Trees using baked brownie rounds stacked with creamy green frosting and decorated with holiday sprinkles and stars. Perfect for a delightful and eye-catching holiday treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Brownie Base

  • 1 box brownie mix (any brand), baked and cooled
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 3 round cookie/biscuit cutters in varying sizes

Green Frosting

  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened to room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2-3 tablespoons milk
  • green food coloring

Decorations

  • holiday sprinkles
  • yellow star decorations
  • disposable piping bag
  • Wilton Star tip 1m

Instructions

  1. Prepare the frosting: Combine the powdered sugar, softened butter, and vanilla extract in a bowl. Gradually add 1 tablespoon of milk at a time, stirring until the frosting reaches a thick but pipeable consistency. Add green food coloring to achieve a festive green shade.
  2. Prepare the piping bag: Attach the Wilton Star tip 1m to the disposable piping bag and fill it with the prepared green frosting.
  3. Cut brownie circles: Using the three round cookie cutters of varying sizes, gently cut out circles from the baked and cooled brownie sheet for stacking.
  4. Assemble the brownie trees: Start with the largest brownie circle as the base. Pipe frosting on top, then stack the medium cookie cutter sized brownie on top. Repeat by adding frosting and finally place the smallest brownie circle on top, finishing with a generous amount of frosting.
  5. Decorate the trees: Add a yellow star decoration on the top of each brownie stack and sprinkle holiday sprinkles over the frosting to resemble Christmas tree decorations.
  6. Repeat assembly: Continue the process with the remaining brownies until all the Christmas trees are assembled and decorated.

Notes

  • Ensure brownies are fully cooled before cutting to avoid crumbling.
  • Use room temperature butter for a smoother frosting texture.
  • Add milk gradually to achieve the ideal frosting consistency for piped designs.
  • If you don't have cookie cutters, use a knife to carefully cut circles of varying sizes.
  • Store assembled brownie trees in a cool place to keep frosting firm before serving.
