Description

Cinnamon Sugar Biscuit Bites are deliciously buttery and sweet treats that resemble cinnamon-sugar doughnut holes. Made from easy-to-use canned biscuit dough, they bake up flaky and golden, then get coated in melted butter and a cinnamon sugar mix for a perfect snack or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 can biscuits (16.3 ounces), buttermilk or flaky style
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ stick butter, melted (2 ounces)

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare Baking Sheet: Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
  2. Cut and Shape Biscuits: Open the biscuit can and separate the biscuits. Cut each biscuit into four equal pieces. Roll each piece into a small ball and place them spaced evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. Bake Biscuits: Bake the biscuit balls in the oven until they are golden brown, approximately 15 minutes. Expect them to spread out and lose their round shape during baking, which is normal.
  4. Mix Cinnamon Sugar: While the biscuits are baking, whisk together the granulated sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Set aside for coating later.
  5. Cool Biscuits: Remove the biscuits from the oven and let them cool for five minutes. Optionally, break them in half if you'd like more surface area for coating.
  6. Coat with Butter and Cinnamon Sugar: Place the warm biscuits into a large bowl. Pour the melted butter over them and stir well to coat every piece. Add the cinnamon sugar mixture and stir again until evenly coated.
  7. Serve and Store: Serve the cinnamon sugar biscuit bites immediately for the best flavor and texture. If you have leftovers, store them covered at room temperature and consume within one day for freshness.

Notes

  • Use flaky biscuit dough for a tender, easy-to-break texture.
  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg to the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  • If you prefer a richer coat, increase the melted butter by 1 tablespoon.
  • These bites are best enjoyed fresh but can be briefly reheated in the oven to restore crispiness.
  • To make smaller bites, cut biscuits into more pieces accordingly.
