Description

A refreshing and creamy grape salad made with seedless red and green grapes tossed in a sweet cream cheese and Greek yogurt mixture, topped with crunchy walnuts and a sprinkle of light brown sugar.

Ingredients

Scale

Fruits

  • 3½ cups seedless red grapes
  • 3½ cups seedless green grapes

Salad Base

  • 4 ounce cream cheese softened (½ 8-oz package)
  • 1¼ cup plain Greek yogurt
  • ½ cup brown sugar lightly packed
  • 1 tsp lemon juice (about ½ of one small lemon)

Toppings

  • 1¼ cups walnuts chopped and divided
  • ¼ cup light brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Prepare Grapes: Place the red and green grapes into a strainer and wash thoroughly over the sink. Pat the grapes completely dry to prevent excess moisture in the salad.
  2. Make Creamy Mixture: In a large serving bowl, stir together the softened cream cheese, plain Greek yogurt, brown sugar, and lemon juice until fully combined and smooth.
  3. Combine Grapes and Mixture: Carefully add the dried grapes into the cream cheese mixture and mix gently until all grapes are well coated with the creamy dressing.
  4. Add Walnuts: Fold in 1 cup of the chopped walnuts evenly throughout the salad to add a crunchy texture.
  5. Chill: Refrigerate the grape salad for at least 1 hour or up to overnight to allow flavors to meld and the salad to chill.
  6. Serve and Garnish: Before serving, top the salad with the remaining ¼ cup chopped walnuts and sprinkle with light brown sugar for extra sweetness and crunch. Serve cold for best taste.

Notes

  • To store, keep leftover grape salad covered in the refrigerator for up to one week to prevent drying.
  • Do not freeze this salad, as it will not thaw well and may separate or become watery.
  • Add marshmallow cream or chopped candy bars like Snickers, Milky Way, Twix, Rolos, or 3 Musketeers for a sweeter dessert twist.
  • Additional fresh fruits such as apples, strawberries, or bananas can be added to enhance the flavor and texture.
  • Garnish with graham cracker crumbs, chopped pecans, or crushed pretzels for extra crunch and a delightful presentation.
