Description

Enjoy the cozy flavors of the season with this Starbucks copycat Christmas Gingerbread Latte, featuring warm spices and rich espresso mixed with creamy almond milk for a perfect holiday treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Drink Base

  • 2 cups unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 shots espresso

Spices & Sweetener

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon allspice
  • 2 tablespoons sugar

Topping (Optional)

  • 1/4 cup whipped cream

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a small saucepan, add the almond milk, espresso, ground ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and sugar.
  2. Heat the Mixture: Place saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a simmer, stirring occasionally to dissolve the sugar and blend the spices.
  3. Simmer Gently: Once simmering, reduce the heat to low and continue stirring regularly for 2 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  4. Remove from Heat: After 2 minutes on low heat, take the saucepan off the stove to prevent burning.
  5. Serve: Pour the gingerbread latte into two cups evenly.
  6. Add Whipped Cream: Top each cup with 2 tablespoons of whipped cream if desired for extra creaminess and festive appeal.

Notes

  • If you don’t have an espresso machine or coffee machine, substitute 2 shots espresso with 2 teaspoons instant coffee dissolved in 1/4 cup boiling water and reduce the almond milk to 1 3/4 cups.
  • For an iced version, pour the hot latte over a glass filled with ice cubes.
  • Any sugar works, but brown sugar or coconut sugar adds a richer flavor.
  • Unsweetened almond milk keeps the latte light and dairy-free; other plant-based milks like oat or soy can be used as alternatives.
