Description

Delicious and festive Pretzel M&M Hugs featuring salty pretzels topped with smooth Hershey's Hugs chocolates and colorful Milk Chocolate M&M's. Perfect for holiday treats or snacks, these bite-sized sweet and salty goodies are easy to make and visually appealing.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 70 square pretzels (do NOT use butter snaps)
  • 70 Hershey's Hugs chocolates (from nearly 1 full 12 oz package), unwrapped
  • 70 Milk Chocolate M&M's (red and green Christmas package)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 200 degrees Fahrenheit and line a cookie sheet with a Silpat or parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. Arrange Pretzels: Place the pretzels on the prepared cookie sheet in a single layer, making sure they are evenly spaced.
  3. Add Hershey's Hugs: Place one unwrapped Hershey's Hugs chocolate on top of each pretzel square.
  4. Bake to Soften Chocolate: Bake in the preheated oven for 5 minutes, just until the chocolates become shiny and soft but do not fully melt or lose shape.
  5. Place M&M's: Remove the cookie sheet from the oven carefully. Immediately press one Milk Chocolate M&M candy into the center of each softened Hug, gently pushing down to spread the chocolate around the M&M.
  6. Chill to Set: Transfer the pretzels to the freezer or refrigerator and let them rest for 15 minutes until the chocolate has completely set.
  7. Store Properly: Once set, store the Pretzel M&M Hugs in an airtight container to maintain freshness.

Notes

  • Do not use butter snaps pretzels as they may melt or lose shape during baking.
  • Watch the chocolates carefully while baking; remove as soon as they soften to prevent melting.
  • Using Silpat or parchment paper prevents sticking and makes cleanup easier.
  • Store in a cool place or refrigerate in warm weather to keep chocolate from melting.
  • These treats are great for holiday parties, gift bags, or quick snacks.
