Chocolate Coating
- 20 ounces white chocolate melting wafers
Cookies and Decorations
- 1 13.9-ounce package Oreos
- 1 box Junior Mints
- 100 mini brown M&Ms from 1 family size package of mini M&Ms
- Sanding sugar, as needed
Instructions
- Prepare the workspace. Line a large sheet pan with parchment paper to set the coated Oreos on.
- Melt the white chocolate. Place the white chocolate wafers in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30 second increments, stirring thoroughly between each interval until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
- Coat the Oreos. Drop one Oreo into the melted white chocolate and use a fork to flip it, coating all sides evenly. Lift the Oreo out, gently shake off excess chocolate, and scrape the bottom against the edge of the bowl to prevent pooling around the cookie.
- Decorate the Oreos. Place the coated Oreo on the parchment paper. Attach one Junior Mint to the bottom center of the Oreo to serve as the pad of the paw. Surround the top with 4 mini brown M&Ms as the toes. Generously sprinkle sanding sugar over the decorated cookie for a sparkling effect. Repeat for all Oreos, working in batches of five.
- Set the chocolate. Transfer the decorated Oreos to the freezer for 5-10 minutes to let the chocolate harden completely.
- Store the treats. After setting, store the Oreo Polar Bear Paws in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week. While freezing is possible, note that the M&Ms may lose color upon thawing.

- Storage: Keep the cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week or refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
- Freezing: Freezing is not recommended as the mini M&Ms tend to lose their color when thawed.
