Description

Create festive and adorable Oreo Snowman Cookies using golden Oreos coated in white chocolate and decorated with colorful candies to resemble cheerful snowmen. Perfect for holiday treats and fun dessert parties.

Ingredients

Scale

Cookies and Coating

  • 2 (10 oz.) bags Ghirardelli white chocolate melting wafers or white candy melts
  • 24 Double Stuf Golden Oreos

Decorations

  • 168 Black sugar pearl sprinkles
  • 24 orange Tic Tacs
  • 2 ounces pack sour punch straws, cut in half (2-inch pieces)
  • 48 M&Ms

Instructions

  1. Prepare baking sheets: Line two baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside for placing coated Oreos.
  2. Melt chocolate: Add the white chocolate wafers to a microwave-safe bowl and heat in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval until smooth and fully melted.
  3. Coat Oreos: Dip each golden Oreo one at a time into the melted white chocolate, ensuring even coating. Lift the Oreo with a fork and gently tap on the edge of the bowl to remove excess chocolate. Place the coated Oreo on the lined baking sheet. Work in small batches for best results.
  4. Decorate faces: Place two black sugar pearl sprinkles on each Oreo as the eyes. Position one orange Tic Tac in the center for the nose. Create the snowman’s smile by arranging five black sugar pearls below the nose.
  5. Add earmuffs: Attach a 2-inch piece of sour punch straw as the earmuff strap on the sides of each Oreo, holding in place for about 10 seconds until the chocolate firms up slightly. Then, attach one M&M on each side of the strap using the melted chocolate as glue. Use matching colors for both sides.
  6. Set and chill: Repeat the coating and decorating process with the remaining Oreos. Once complete, place the baking sheets in the refrigerator for 10 minutes until the chocolate and decorations are fully set.

Notes

  • Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks, separating layers with parchment paper to prevent sticking and preserve decorations.
  • For smaller batches, melt chocolate in smaller portions as needed to avoid waste and keep the remaining wafers fresh.
  • If black sugar pearls are unavailable, substitute with black confetti sprinkles or mini chocolate chips for the mouth.
  • Replace orange Tic Tacs with orange sprinkles or small carrot-shaped decorations for the nose.
  • Be creative with earmuffs: use Skittles, peppermint candies, Spree candy, or Twizzlers pull 'n peel as alternatives.
  • Use cookie icing in orange and black to draw faces instead of candies for a different look.
  • Try different Oreo flavors like Mega Stuf, mint, peanut butter, or peppermint for unique variations.
  • Attach snowmen to lollipop sticks, wrap in cellophane, and tie with ribbons for fun gift ideas.
