A refreshing Peach Iced Tea featuring a homemade peach syrup made from fresh or frozen peaches, sweetened with sugar and honey, perfectly blended with brewed tea and served chilled with frozen peaches for an invigorating summer drink.

- 4 cups water
- 1 family size tea bag
Peach Syrup
- 1 cup water
- ¾ cup sugar
- ¾ cup honey
- 2 cups frozen peaches, thawed and pureed (or fresh peaches, peeled and sliced)
For Serving
- 2 cups frozen peaches (do not thaw)
- Ice cubes as needed
Instructions
- Steep the Tea: Bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Remove from heat, add the tea bag, and steep for 5 minutes. Pour the brewed tea into a 2-quart pitcher and set aside.
- Make Peach Syrup: In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup of water, sugar, and honey. Bring to a boil and stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. Add the pureed peaches and return to a low boil. Remove from heat and let cool.
- Strain the Syrup: Pour the peach mixture through a mesh sieve over a bowl, pressing the peaches to extract as much juice as possible. Discard the peach pulp and reserve the syrup.
- Sweeten the Tea: Add the peach syrup to the brewed tea, tasting as you go, until desired sweetness is achieved. Typically, 1 to 2 cups of syrup is added to 4 cups of tea for a balanced sweetness.
- Serve: Distribute the frozen peaches evenly into 4 glasses, add ice cubes, and pour the peach tea over them. Serve immediately for a refreshing beverage.
- Store: Refrigerate any leftover peach syrup for future use and store leftover tea in the refrigerator.
