Chocolate Layer
- 12 oz milk chocolate chips
Pretzels
- 8 oz pretzels (about half of 16 oz bag)
Caramel Drizzle
- 11 oz Kraft caramels, unwrapped
- 2 tbsp heavy cream
Instructions
- Prepare the Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside to prevent sticking.
- Melt the Chocolate: Melt the milk chocolate chips in the microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring well between each until smooth and fully melted.
- Spread Initial Chocolate Layer: Spread two-thirds of the melted chocolate evenly over the parchment-lined baking sheet as the base layer.
- Add Pretzels: Arrange the pretzels evenly over the melted chocolate and gently press them in to ensure they stick.
- Melt Caramel Mixture: Combine unwrapped caramels with heavy cream and melt in the microwave for 2 minutes, stirring until smooth.
- Drizzle Caramel: Drizzle the melted caramel evenly over the pretzel layer for a rich, sweet contrast.
- Top with Remaining Chocolate: Drizzle the remaining melted chocolate over the caramel and pretzels to finish the bark.
- Chill to Set: Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator until the bark is firm and set, about 1 hour.
Notes
- Use good quality milk chocolate for the best flavor.
- If you prefer a thicker bark, increase the amount of chocolate layers.
- Press pretzels gently so they don’t break but adhere well to the chocolate.
- For easier cutting after chilling, let bark come to room temperature for a few minutes.
- Can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
