Description

A delightful and easy-to-make Salted Caramel Pretzel Bark combining smooth milk chocolate, crunchy pretzels, and rich caramel for a perfect sweet and salty treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Chocolate Layer

  • 12 oz milk chocolate chips

Pretzels

  • 8 oz pretzels (about half of 16 oz bag)

Caramel Drizzle

  • 11 oz Kraft caramels, unwrapped
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside to prevent sticking.
  2. Melt the Chocolate: Melt the milk chocolate chips in the microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring well between each until smooth and fully melted.
  3. Spread Initial Chocolate Layer: Spread two-thirds of the melted chocolate evenly over the parchment-lined baking sheet as the base layer.
  4. Add Pretzels: Arrange the pretzels evenly over the melted chocolate and gently press them in to ensure they stick.
  5. Melt Caramel Mixture: Combine unwrapped caramels with heavy cream and melt in the microwave for 2 minutes, stirring until smooth.
  6. Drizzle Caramel: Drizzle the melted caramel evenly over the pretzel layer for a rich, sweet contrast.
  7. Top with Remaining Chocolate: Drizzle the remaining melted chocolate over the caramel and pretzels to finish the bark.
  8. Chill to Set: Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator until the bark is firm and set, about 1 hour.

Notes

  • Use good quality milk chocolate for the best flavor.
  • If you prefer a thicker bark, increase the amount of chocolate layers.
  • Press pretzels gently so they don’t break but adhere well to the chocolate.
  • For easier cutting after chilling, let bark come to room temperature for a few minutes.
  • Can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
