Mocktail Ingredients
- 4 cups cubed fresh watermelon
- 1/3 cup fresh lime juice (approximately 3–4 limes)
- 4 sprigs fresh mint
- Soda water to top
- Extra lime slices for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the Watermelon: Cut the watermelon into cubes, discarding the rind and any white parts. This ensures a smooth and pure juice without bitterness.
- Blend the Mixture: Add the watermelon cubes and fresh lime juice to a blender. Blend until smooth, using a tamper if necessary. If your blender is small, blend in batches to process all the watermelon evenly.
- Strain the Juice: Pour the blended mixture through a fine-mesh strainer to remove pulp and seeds, then transfer the strained juice to a jug for easy pouring.
- Prepare the Glasses: Fill glasses or a large pitcher with crushed ice to keep the drink chilled and refreshing.
- Assemble the Mocktail: Pour the watermelon lime juice into each glass or pitcher until it is halfway full. Top the rest with soda water to add sparkle and lighten the drink.
- Garnish and Serve: Garnish each glass with a sprig of fresh mint and a lime slice. Serve immediately to enjoy the freshest flavors.
Notes
- If you don’t have crushed ice, place ice cubes in a zip-lock bag and crush them with a rolling pin for a similar effect.
- Adjust the amount of lime juice according to your taste—add more for extra tanginess or reduce for a sweeter mocktail experience.
