Description

A refreshing Sparkling Watermelon Lime Mocktail made with fresh watermelon, zesty lime juice, and sparkling soda water, garnished with mint and lime slices. Perfect for a light and hydrating drink on a warm day.

Ingredients

Scale

Mocktail Ingredients

  • 4 cups cubed fresh watermelon
  • 1/3 cup fresh lime juice (approximately 34 limes)
  • 4 sprigs fresh mint
  • Soda water to top
  • Extra lime slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Watermelon: Cut the watermelon into cubes, discarding the rind and any white parts. This ensures a smooth and pure juice without bitterness.
  2. Blend the Mixture: Add the watermelon cubes and fresh lime juice to a blender. Blend until smooth, using a tamper if necessary. If your blender is small, blend in batches to process all the watermelon evenly.
  3. Strain the Juice: Pour the blended mixture through a fine-mesh strainer to remove pulp and seeds, then transfer the strained juice to a jug for easy pouring.
  4. Prepare the Glasses: Fill glasses or a large pitcher with crushed ice to keep the drink chilled and refreshing.
  5. Assemble the Mocktail: Pour the watermelon lime juice into each glass or pitcher until it is halfway full. Top the rest with soda water to add sparkle and lighten the drink.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Garnish each glass with a sprig of fresh mint and a lime slice. Serve immediately to enjoy the freshest flavors.

Notes

  • If you don’t have crushed ice, place ice cubes in a zip-lock bag and crush them with a rolling pin for a similar effect.
  • Adjust the amount of lime juice according to your taste—add more for extra tanginess or reduce for a sweeter mocktail experience.
