Description

These Beef Brisket Sandwiches are a quick and delicious dinner option featuring tender sliced beef brisket layered with barbecue sauce, melted provolone cheese, and crunchy coleslaw on toasted hamburger buns. Ready in just 15 minutes, they combine smoky flavors with creamy and tangy textures for a satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Scale

Buns and Cheese

  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 slices provolone cheese

Filling

  • 2 cups beef brisket sliced or shredded
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 cup coleslaw

Instructions

  1. Preheat Broiler: Set the broiler to 500°F to prepare for toasting the buns and melting the cheese.
  2. Heat Brisket: Warm the beef brisket either in a pan over medium heat or in the microwave until hot throughout.
  3. Toast Buns and Melt Cheese: Place the tops of the hamburger buns upside down on a baking sheet. Put one slice of provolone cheese on each bun top, then place them under the broiler for 2 minutes or until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly. Remove from the oven carefully.
  4. Assemble Sandwich: On the bottom halves of the buns, layer the hot beef brisket evenly. Drizzle with barbecue sauce and then add a generous portion of coleslaw on top.
  5. Serve: Cap each sandwich with the cheese-topped bun halves and serve immediately while warm and melty.

Notes

  • Store the meat, cheese, and coleslaw separately in the refrigerator for up to 5 days to maintain freshness.
  • Instead of using the broiler, you can toast the buns and melt the cheese in an oven, on the grill, or in a pan on the stovetop for alternative methods.
  • The cheese can be melted or left unmelted according to your preference.
