Description

Strawberry Santa's with Cream Cheese Frosting are a festive and delightful holiday treat. Juicy strawberries are transformed into adorable Santas with a creamy vanilla-flavored cream cheese frosting, mini chocolate chip eyes, and a snowy touch of powdered sugar. Perfect as a sweet appetizer or dessert for holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale

Frosting

  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Santas

  • 12 strawberries
  • Mini chocolate chips (for eyes)
  • Additional powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the frosting: Place cream cheese, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar into a medium bowl. Mix until creamy and smooth.
  2. Whip the cream: Add heavy cream to the mixture and beat for 4-5 minutes until the frosting is thick, smooth, and creamy.
  3. Prepare piping bag: Transfer the cream cheese frosting into a piping bag to use for decorating.
  4. Prepare strawberries: Wash the strawberries carefully and dry them completely so the frosting will adhere properly. Remove the stems and slice about 1/4 off the top of each strawberry to create Santa’s hats. Set hats aside.
  5. Assemble the Santas: Pipe the cream cheese frosting onto the larger bottom pieces of each strawberry to create Santa’s beard.
  6. Add hats: Place the top smaller strawberry pieces (Santa hats) on the frosted bottom parts.
  7. Decorate: Optionally dust powdered sugar over the hats for a snowy effect. Use the piping bag to add a white pom-pom to the tip of each hat and pipe two side swirls for Santa’s mustache.
  8. Add eyes: Place two mini chocolate chips on each Santa for eyes.
  9. Chill and serve: Refrigerate the decorated Strawberry Santas until ready to serve. Enjoy your festive treat!

Notes

  • Make sure strawberries are completely dry before frosting to prevent slipping.
  • You can substitute mini chocolate chips with small edible pearls if preferred.
  • Use softened cream cheese to ensure smooth frosting consistency.
  • Adjust powdered sugar quantity if you prefer a sweeter frosting.
  • These treats can be prepared a few hours ahead but are best served fresh.
