  • 3 tablespoons non-dairy milk (plain, unsweetened)
  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Cut avocado: Cut the avocado in half, remove the peel and pit, then slice into ¼-inch thick slices for optimal crispiness and cooking.
  2. Prep coatings: In a small shallow bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Pour non-dairy milk into a separate bowl. Place panko breadcrumbs in a third bowl.
  3. Coat avocado: Using one slice at a time, dredge the avocado slice in the flour mixture with your dry hand, then dip into the non-dairy milk with your wet hand. Finally, coat thoroughly with panko breadcrumbs on both sides. Arrange the coated slices evenly in the air fryer basket.
  4. Spray and air fry: Lightly spray the avocado slices with oil spray. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 12 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. No preheating of the air fryer is necessary. Season hot fries with salt and pepper to taste.
